What is the impact of free charity programs?
After reading my other websites, you might be thinking, "Do these apps really make an impact on this world?" I'll be answering this question right now. Free charity programs ( FCPs) are apps/programs that donate to charity with no cost to the user. Examples include Tab for a Cause, Ecosia, Freerice, Charity Miles, and more! Here is a list of the impacts that some FCPs have had on this world, as of July 2019.
They have even Tab for a Cause has raised more than $768,000 (USD) for various charities. This number increases by $450 every day! sponsored the building of a new library in Vietnam! Below is an image that shows the impact Tab for a Cause has made. Note that the infographic is from June 2016; users have raised more than triple that amount to date. (image source)
These trees have and will consume a total of 3.2 million metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Ecosia has planted over 64 million trees! This number increases by about 108,000 every day! Here is an image that shows Ecosia's impact in satellite maps! (image source) Freerice has raised more than 95 billion rice grains that have fed thousands of people. Here is a chart that shows the amount of adults fed per day by Freerice from 2007 to 2014.
